Antonia’s Senior Session

Welcome back!

Today I want you to meet Antonia Lang. Strong, courageous, and beautiful are the words that come to mind when I think about this young woman.

Antonia is a senior at Citronelle High School. However, as many of you know with the current pandemic going on it’s been a difficult time for all of the 2020 Senior Grads this year.

Not being able to party, walk across the stage in their gowns, attend those last few weeks with fun trips and etc could

I was beyond excited about this session! Antonia is actually the niece of Ms. Shea Sims! Who’s the mommy of little Ms. Ejypt! Her blog can be seen here. But as soon as Ms. Shea contacted me, I was beyond excited to see what she wanted to be done this time.

I was expecting another session for her beautiful daughters. When she told me that the session was actually for her niece instead! Ms. Sims wanted to treat her niece and get her Senior pictures done. Part of the reason as to why she wanted to do this, is unfortunately due to the fact that Antonia’s mother could not. She had sadly passed away.

Finding out that information alone just about broke my heart! Between her not being able to fully enjoy her graduating due to COVID, and not being able to have the most important woman in her life standing by her? I wanted to do something special for her images and session and to thank her for her upcoming session.

Yet Antonia wasn’t alone at all. From what I did see during her session though, she has an amazing support system!

As far as the day of her session though, we were expecting open skies, warm and hazy sun, all of the nice weather! But mother nature had other plans. It stormed! We all had planned to complete her session at the Chatom community center, yet it rained so hard that there was no safe space to actually shoot without getting soaked!

So while I’m texting Ms. Sims from our cars to figure out where to shoot, I thought about the nearby library that was only roughly 5 mins away. And we all decided to go there. Fortunately, the front of the library was incredibly dry so we were able to start our session there.

She arrived at her session with a smile on her face, and she was such a sweet individual! I loved the outfits that Antonia brought to the shoot. She had worn a beautiful and flattering white gown that accentuated her lovely physique! Each of her outfits were very cute!

After high school,  she’ll be getting ready to get out and be active in the army! I wish the best of luck to Antonia and I know that she’ll do wonderful things!
